New Year, New Brand, New Website
I’m not very good at getting a website completed and put together. In the past couple of years, I’ve started (and not finished) several. This one still needs fleshing out, but it was time.
The end of 2025 brought Nigerian Dwarf Goats to the farm, and we are so in love with the little firecrackers. I decided to start milk testing the herd, and ran into some doubts and hard decisions surrounding which national registry to use. Ultimately, we decided to stick with ADGA for now, although all of the Nigerian Dwarfs will be dual registered with the American Goat Society. As before, the Guernseys will be dual registered with the BGS. In the process of making these decisions, I found myself filling out a membership application for the AGS and decided to rebrand and register a new herd name.
The Suzy watch has begun! Her due date was yesterday, and we’re so looking forward to our first Nigerian kidding! After Suzy, we have a break until February, when kidding begins in earnest for our 2026 season. We’re expecting some very special kids this year, and I can hardly wait to meet each one.
For the love of goats,
